Encompassing Sustainability, Future-Proofing the Economy

The face-to-face forum on green and renewable business practices across industries, titled “Encompassing sustainability, future-proofing the economy,” will be held at the Admiral Hotel Manila – Mgallery on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Moderated by Ben Kritz, The Manila Times (TMT) Business columnist, and hosted by Dafort Villaseran, TMT editor, the multisectoral sustainability event encourages government agencies and development partners to learn from each other.

To help further the conversation between public and private sector stakeholders, speakers such as Glenn Banaguas, UN Sasakawa Laureate Chairman and ASEAN Science Diplomat; Cristina Garcia Frasco, Department of Tourism secretary; Danilo Fausto, Philippine Chamber of Agriculture and Food Inc. president; and Rosemarie Bosch-Ong, Philippine Retailers Association president, Jenny Lin Maano-Ngai, Sunsmart Solar Power Technology Inc., co-founder and president and Caitlin Punzalan, Mondelez Phils. Inc's, Corporate and Government Affairs Lead will discuss topics ranging from food security, tourism and hospitality, agribusiness modernity, and manufacturing and retail technology. The speakers will uphold why overarching sustainability ultimately future-proofs the. economy while protecting the environment.

With the Securities and Exchange Commission making sustainability reporting for publicly listed companies and government-controlled and owned corporations in the Philippines all-encompassing, socially responsible corporations and agencies face greater pressure to pivot and maintain agility.
