The Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, Inc. (ICCPI) hosted its most prestigious annual event, the ICCPI Leadership Awards 2024, on November 28 at the Fairmont Hotel Makati. This grand occasion celebrated the remarkable achievements of business leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators across diverse industries, recognizing their transformative impact and invaluable contributions to their fields.

The event served as a platform for inspiration and connection, shining a spotlight on leaders who drive innovation, uphold ethical practices, and champion progress. By emphasizing leadership's role as a catalyst for sustainable growth, the ICCPI Leadership Awards underscored its commitment to fostering excellence and shaping industries.
The evening started off with a hearty welcome to the 4th Edition of the ICCPI Leadership Awards, a historic event that marks the end of more than three months of painstaking planning to recognize outstanding entrepreneurs, business leaders, and organizations that support global excellence and exceptional practices. An Italian entrepreneur from South Tyrol with a wealth of professional experience in Europe, the Middle East, and the Philippines, Mr. Lorens Ziller, Executive Director of the ICCPI, co-hosted the event and led the audience through an interesting schedule of programs. Mr. Ziller gave the opening remarks, and then Mr. Sergio Boero, President of the ICCPI, gave a special message.
The event also featured keynote speeches by the Honorable Ambassador of Italy to the Philippines, Davide Giglio, PRA Chairman Alexander Lopez, and former Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary, Alfredo Pascual, each offering profound insights on leadership and innovation.

This year’s distinguished panel of judges included industry luminaries such as Monsi Serrano, Founder of Philippine Business and News; Rosemarie Rafael, Chairwoman of Airspeed and WomenBizPH; and Atty. Mike Toledo of Metro Pacific Investments, among others.

In addition to the main award categories, the ICCPI Leadership Awards also paid tribute to distinguished figures whose dedication and legacy have shaped the business landscape. These special recognitions highlighted not only professional success but also the passion, innovation, and commitment that have defined their careers.
The celebration was distinguished by the presentation of several prestigious 'Legacy' awards, each recognizing exceptional contributions in their respective fields. The Italian Food & Beverage Legacy Award was conferred upon Werner Berger, Owner and CEO, in acknowledgment of his significant impact on the industry. Emilio Mina, Owner of Caruso Ristorante Italiano, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his enduring influence in the culinary world. Additionally, Zenaida Rustia Tantoco of Rustans Corporation received the Legacy in Italian Luxury Retail Award, a testament to her excellence and leadership in the luxury retail sector.

Co-founder of Cervia Global Trading Inc. and Sulà Spirits, Mark Daniel Rivera has been recognized for his innovative approach in the beverage industry, introducing unique products that have captivated the market.
