MANILA, PHILIPPINES, March 6, 2023 - Wine enthusiasts in the Philippines have reason to celebrate as Banfi, one of the world's leading wine brands, makes its re-launch in the country. The Italian wine brand, imported and distributed by Wine Club Worldwide Philippines Inc., is set to launch on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the Maserati Showroom in Bonifacio Global City. Immediately following the press launch, Banfi and The Wine Club will be hosting public events in Manila, Clark, and Cebu.
The launch events promise to be grand affairs, with wine tastings, food pairings, and presentations on Banfi's history and philosophy. The events will be attended by wine industry experts, influencers, enthusiasts, and members of the media and will be hosts by well-known gastronomic institutions such as L’Opera Ristorante Italiano in Bonifacio Global City, Ristorante Di Verona in Swissotel Clark, and Anzani Restaurant in Cebu City.

The launch of Banfi wines in the Philippines is made possible with the support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ICCPI). The ICCPI has been instrumental in facilitating trade and business relationships between Italy and the Philippines, and their support for the launch of Banfi in the country is a testament to their commitment to promoting Italian businesses locally. Banfi is a family-owned winery located in Tuscany, Italy. The brand has been producing award-winning wines since 1978 and is recognized for its commitment to sustainability and innovation in winemaking. The Banfi portfolio includes a wide range of varietals, including Chianti, Super Tuscan, and Brunello di Montalcino.
Gabriele Pazzaglia, Banfi’s Winemaker recently was awarded by The Drinks Business as one of the 100 Master Winemakers. The publication was organized by The Drinks Business, and Patrick Schmitt, MW, who is the Editor in Chief of the International magazine, reports: “This guide features 100 of the world’s finest winemakers – and the unique competition in which they have excelled”. In the same publication, among the 100 Master Winemakers, some were awarded as Best in their category. And Gabriele Pazzaglia, who works in the Banfi wine making department in equal partnership with his colleagues Marica Mencarelli and Matteo Bagnoli, is the winner in the Best Tuscan Wine category.
